About Our Pastor

Pastor Keith Kilgore has spent much of his life serving others—first as a United States Army Chaplain, then as a mental health provider, and now as a pastor committed to faithfully teaching the Word of God and caring for people.

Pastor Keith is a retired United States Army Chaplain who served soldiers and their families for more than twenty years. During his military career he provided spiritual guidance, counseling, and pastoral care to service members in a wide variety of circumstances, helping them navigate the pressures of military life, family challenges, and the realities of deployment and combat. His years in the Army gave him a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by military families and a lasting commitment to ministering to those who serve our nation.

After retiring from active duty, Pastor Keith continued serving the same military community as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and mental health provider. In this role he worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families, helping them address challenges such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, marriage difficulties, and parenting concerns. His background in both pastoral ministry and clinical counseling gives him a unique perspective in caring for the spiritual and personal needs of people.

Pastor Keith holds a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Social Work from Syracuse University. He was ordained to the Gospel ministry by First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, Florida, in 1985.

Theologically, Pastor Keith is conservative and holds firmly to the historic five fundamentals of the Christian faith: the inspiration and authority of Scripture, the virgin birth of Christ, the substitutionary atonement of Christ on the cross, the bodily resurrection of Christ, and the reality of His miracles. His preaching ministry focuses on verse-by-verse exposition of the Bible, helping people understand the meaning of Scripture and how it applies to everyday life.

Pastor Keith believes the role of a pastor is not only to preach the Word of God but also to shepherd and care for people. He has a heart for pastoral counseling, discipleship, and helping individuals and families grow in their faith and walk with Christ.

Pastor Keith receives no financial compensation from the church and freely provides pastoral care and counseling to those who attend. His desire is simply to serve the Lord and the church family faithfully.

He and his wife, Linda, are grateful for the opportunity to serve a loving church family and warmly welcome newcomers from the local community and the Fort Drum area. Whether someone is new to church, exploring the Christian faith, or looking for a church home, Pastor Keith and the congregation are glad to welcome them.

Our Mission

  1. To worship God, who is worthy of all praise and glory.

  2. To serve God locally, nationally, and internationally by fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as set forth in Matthew 28:19-20.

  3. To minister to the needs of the members and others as the church is able to do so.

  4. To do any and all things related to and in connection with the carrying out of the purposes of a New Testament Church.

What We Believe

  1. We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and man.  He died on the cross for our sins.  He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.

  4. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost.  Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man’s salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

  5. We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man’s works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

  6. We believe in a regenerated church membership:  that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.

  7. We believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord’s Supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross.  These are ordinances to be observed by the church in its present age.  They are, however, not to be regarded as a means for man’s salvation.

  8. We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His second coming inspires believers for dynamic and zealous life and service for Him while waiting for His return.

  9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.

  10. We believe in the autonomy of the local church.  The church shall manage its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization.

Our Purpose in Faith

To make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
